Founded in 2020, Blossom Rose Studio is an independent floral studio in Dalton-in-Furness, dedicated to creating bespoke arrangements using artificial and dried florals that capture a natural, wild feel – perfect for relaxed, meaningful weddings.
From bridal bouquets, flower crowns, buttonholes to larger installations, each piece is made to last a lifetime. These crafted timeless florals are personal and practical for any couple getting married in the Lake District or across the North West. Additionally, ideal for those opting for a destination wedding.
Drawing on years of experience in fresh floral design and teaching, I established Blossom Rose Studio on principles of creativity, attention to detail and a personalised service.
The studio itself is a light-filled, welcoming space, thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity and connection. Complete with a log-burning fire, kitchenette, and charming farm visitors.
After completing my business degree, I pursued a floristry qualification and moved to the Lake District in 2012.
I initially worked in administration, but I soon realised I missed being creative. This led me to teaching wreath-making classes, a perfect way to combine my artistic passion with my previous experience as a climbing instructor.
In 2020, we transformed our garage into a beautiful studio space and Blossom Rose Studio is named after my daughter’s middle names, Miss Blossom and Miss Rose.
We operate by appointment only, so please get in touch to arrange a meeting and discuss your floral plans.
This year, we are celebrating our 5th birthday on 27/11/25!
Blossom Rose Studio is now celebrating its 5th year of trading, and our diary is already filling up with weddings, on-site installations, and flower demonstrations for 2026, 2027 and beyond!
Throughout the year, we create seasonal designs and floral accessories, always aiming to incorporate home-grown flowers wherever possible, bringing a personal and natural touch to every arrangement.
I’ve had the privilege of running floral demonstrations for Charites including Furness Young Carers and the RNLI. At these events, I demonstrated how to make a variety of designs right before the eyes of a large crowd. Then, these creations were raffled off, with all the profits of the events going to these incredible causes.
With the help of the community's generosity, money was raised for Furness Carers, directly benefiting young carers by providing them with enjoyable activities for a much-needed break.
Furness Carers offers an invaluable support network, ensuring all funds raised directly assist these dedicated young individuals and their families.
Gemma was part of a fundraising event that was held in the Barrow-in-Furness Community Hall. They successfully raised money to go towards the Askam inshore rescue team.
Gemma's contribution will help allow the rescue team to continue to help keep people safe.
Gemma is a firm believer in giving back to the community.
St. Mary's Hospice in Ulverston is reliant on charitable donations as only 17% of its running costs is funded by the NHS. Blossom Rose Studio regularly raffles off floral pieces to raise funds for this local charity.
